I’m going to start making these shorter. This is really more so an accountability exercise to keep me on track and honest about pursuing and tracking my progress against my goals.
First the wins:
On the personal and professional tip, I did pretty well. I went to visit my cofounder and dropped off inventory on my way to Grand Blanc/Flint to see my grandmother who’s 97. Solid.
Financially, I hit another milestone in my savings account. Extra Solid.
Opportunities for Improvement:
Spiritually, I fell off, and a little behind. I missed 12 days of yoga and meditation. I got sick b/c of my trip to Michigan and it had me sidelined for a while. So, we’ll count the wins on the personal goals and focus on getting back on track on the yoga and meditation goals.
On the mental side, I’m behind. I’m going to spend the majority of March focused on catching up on reading (12 books this year goal), online courses (6 this year goal) , and ensuring I hit my daily affirmations. I’ll also focus on my conversational in Spanish goal.
I went hard before I left and hit just under 30 miles before I got sick for the year, so I’m basically on target for 180 miles for the year. However, I took a hit for the same reason the spiritual ones did. However from a dietary standpoint I’m still on pace to be under 36 (individual instances) for beef, pork and alcohol for the year. I’m also turning my efforts towards being primarily plant based by June.
All in all, mindfulness says roll with the punches. My circumstances changed for a while, so we’ll adjust and keep pushing.
