First Time in Belize, This Finna be a Breeze (Pt.2)

Continued….

So, day 2 starts out with some light yoga, a run and then cooling by the ocean in a hammock.

So, as I’m cooling in the Hammock, we get approached by a young brother who’s extremely outgoing yet laid back, named Errol. I already like him b/c he’s got the same name as my favorite boxer Errol Spence Jr.

“Y’all checked in Yesterday?”

Yeah. *Wonders how he knows*

“It’s good to see some people that look like you out here for a change.” *Figures out how he knows*

Innies
At Errol’s Auntie Spot, Innies

We go on like that for a few minutes asking about the best ruins, tubing, and the best food. He gives us some solid recommendations and tells us his auntie has a spot down the road called Innies.

We slide to Innies and I have the Hudutu, a Garufina specialty, which is basically a coconut fish curry. I’m on a very limited pork and red meat intake this year, so after I ate, I ask the waitress after she brings it out if she slipped some pork on me.

The fish was so big, and hearty that I just knew she did. But apparently, Jack Fish, is just built like that.

Waterfall at Mayan Sky (Gucci slips worn pre-black face smh)

He looked like Rico Suave and had nails longer than I use to keep mine.

Next, we hit Mayan Sky, which has zip lining, tubing, and a waterfall. We pull up and get a sales pitch from this cat that was way too pretty.

I opted for the last two. They also had a dope orchard so I got a little orange pickin’ in.

We hit the tube, where my ole lady basically got pulled the whole way b/c she was too little to paddle. We hit the waterfall which was a vibe and then went back to the resort.

Earlier that day, we had biked around the town a little bit and asked for some more recommendations about local restaurants. A couple cats were chilling at a local store by the beach. Reviews were mixed:

“Go to Tina’s.”

“Tina can’t cook!”

We tried it out. It took her forever, but I’ll be damned if those drinks weren’t fantastic. While we waited, I went to catch the local kids playing soccer by the beach. It was a site to behold.

At Tina’s I had the shrimp creole and a couple drinks and enjoyed the ocean vibes. A solid way to wrap up day 2 back at the Bar for a little while with the European lady from Coolidge, TX doing all of the wrong things to Gloria Gaynor at the Resort Karaoke.
