2019: Year In Review

My word for 2019 was self actualization. The biggest thing I learned was any imperfect action is better than analysis and non action if you’re at a point where you haven’t started. I wanted to do a monthly check in, but in the interest of “more moves, less announcements”.

So a quick review, The Good:

First Spiritual – I wanted to meditate daily and get 300 yoga practices in for the year. I also wanted to get my 200 hr certification which was the hardest goal I set for myself. I knocked all three of these items out, so I’m pretty proud of that. I wanted to do daily affirmations and brush my Spanish back up to conversational, which I knocked out as well.

I wanted to get a physical and go to the dentist twice and eat red meat, pork, and drink less than 36 times each for the year, and be predominantly plant based by June. I did all of those too.

Financially, I didn’t hit my savings goal, but I AM COMPLETELY OUT OF DEBT. So, I’m probably the most pleased with that one next to Yoga 200.

Personally, I saw all of the people closest to me at least once, and that was a win.

The Misses:

I didn’t hit my weight and body fat goal, but I am 25 pounds to the good in terms of where I was last year. I didn’t hit my book or online course goal, but I did get some in. I also didn’t hit my business goals in terms of # of sales, and audience, but I made some headway.

All in all, it was a great year where I began to realize some of that potential and definitely moved much closer to where I want to be. That The goal for this new year is consistency in this new found action based mindset.
